This is the latest book series from Dr Goh Moh Heng. Having completed the BCM Series, the insitute’s President had embarked to introduce a specialist book series. This new book aims to prepares you to apply the Singapore Standard SS 540 framework, principles and methodologies for the implementation of the BC Plan.

Using the BCM Areas and Components framework as spelled out in the Singapore Standard, this book provides a clear explanation of the standard and it elaborates on the “How-to” aspect in implementing your business continuity programme and plans.

flag_singapore[Singapore, 15 August 2009] Business Continuity Management Institute, BCM Institute and Singapore Business Federation (SBF) co-organized “Implementing an Affordable and Painless BCM with SS540 Certification” at the a BCM seminar, Meet-The-Experts, Singapore. More than 120 members from both organization have benefited the strategy to develop the “optimized” approach to develop and implement BCM. Dr Goh Moh Heng, president of BCM Institute shared the roadmap for small and medium, SME’s continuity and how to keeping investment in time and resources to the lowest; yet achieving the BCM and SS540 certification requirements. Mr Roland Teo, Deputy Director, Capacity Building Division, Singapore Business Federation, SBF shared on the overview of the incentives, grant and the application/submission process under the National BCM Programme and how it applies to your organisation. 

Singapore first official BCM SS540 compliance training program

In support of the Singapore National BCM programme, BCM Institute had launched the BCM-354: Implementing BCM with SS540 ealirer this year. BCM354 is a three and a half day course that is designed to aid participants in the understanding of fundamental BCM concepts and BCM planning methodology in relation to the Singapore Standard SS540. The institute has seen more than three courses of 15 partiicpants for each course. Again, with the growing interest and support from the government, we are expecting more to follow in the coming future. This course is recognised and 80% funded by the government. We are pround that at least three of our client organization will achieve their SS540 certificaiton by 2010. We have another 10 organizations awaiting to start their journey with us during the start of 2010.

Singapore 'SS540 Safeguards' Seminar

[SINGAPORE, 21 January] A week following the success of MTE Malaysia, BCM Institute held “Meet-The-Experts: SS540 Safeguards” in Singapore which was again attended by 100 BC fellows and partners. Our speaker guest was Mr. Ken Chong Sheu Kian from National Heart Center who presented his past experiences in implementing of TR19 organisation-wide. Participants claimed that the seminar was very informative and beneficial. During the session, BCM Institute proudly awarded 15 BC & DR Professionals Certificates. The coming MTE Singapore is on 7 April 09.
